                                                WHAT WE DO
The Whatcom County Mens Hikers meet (see "Where to Meet") Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 0830 and walk somewhere in or near the city.  We also organize longer hikes into the mountain "high country" during the summer months, and easy snowshoe trips during the winter months.  The group is loosely associated with the Newcomers Club of Whatcom County.  You do not need to be a Newcomers member in order to participate, and there is nothing to join or no need to sign up to walk with us.  Our hikes normally last 1-2 hours and cover 3-6 miles on well-marked trails of varying difficulty.  You should not be concerned about your fitness level if you decide to participate as this is a non-competitive group.  While some walkers may be out in front of the group, we never leave anyone behind.

For maps, books, and links to other information, see the "Resources" page.

Women hikers:  The Newcomers Club women's walking group is more organized -- and better looking -- than our group.
